The Big Lunch
Sunday 18 July 2010
12.20 p.m. at the Church Centre
The Big Lunch is a big celebration of fun, friendship and food. The national organisers of the Big Lunch say:
‘On Sunday 18th July we're going to have lunch with our neighbours – in streets, parks, gardens, car parks... The food, decorations and entertainment we'll grow, cook and create ourselves. It's a day to break bread together and put a smile back on Britain's face.’
We are still planning our Big Lunch this year so if you have any ideas or would like to contribute in anyway, please get in touch. Our Big Lunch will include:
•A bring-and-share picnic - with food that is home-grown or locally-sourced or Fair Trade
•Children’s games and activities
•Music
•And, most importantly, YOU!
We plan to raffle some hampers to cover the cost of children’s activities and drinks so if you can donate any toiletries
or food items that would be great.
